Theatre-Based Interventions for Cultural Heritage, Well-being & Civic Engagement

INNOVAQEU

Course description

Theatre has long served as a powerful medium for storytelling, cultural expression, and social reflection. Across Europe, mythologies and traditional narratives continue to shape cultural identity and collective memory. When integrated into participatory theatre practices, these stories can become dynamic tools for education, community dialogue, and social inclusion.

This training course explores how theatre-based interventions can be used to promote cultural heritage while also supporting well-being, social participation, and democratic engagement. By combining elements of storytelling, performance, and participatory arts, theatre offers opportunities for individuals and communities to reflect on shared values, explore cultural narratives, and build stronger social connections.

Participants will learn how theatre methods can create inclusive and interactive learning environments where individuals from different backgrounds and age groups can collaborate, express themselves creatively, and engage in meaningful dialogue.
